Basic overview
Tygeris consists of two parts:

Tygeris Editor is the translation environment where
translating itself takes place.

Tygeris Manager is an affiliated management system
for both individuals and organizations. Individuals
(translators) can use it to manage their documents and receive work
(translation tasks) from organizations they cooperate with.
Organizations are able to upload documents, manage their
projects, effectively distribute the translations and exchange files
with their clients.
Files and documents
File is unbounded category, comprising
of text, images, audio, etc.
Document is translatable file, i. e. it must contain
text. Every document is also a file, but not vice versa.
Organization
Organization owns projects and
incorporates users to work cooperatively on projects and jobs.

Organization users are users
associated with the given organization (members, employees).

Organization resources are resources (translation memories,
machine translators, glossaries) associated with given organization.
Technically, private projects is an organization, too.
However, it is not possible to add users nor distribute translations. It
shall only be used for private, non-shared projects.
There are two available user rights:

User management enables users to access the
"organization users" page. Privileged user can add
organization users into projects or remove them and grant/revoke
project rights (see below).

Organization management enables users to access
the "organization overview" page and manage
organization's projects.
Project
An organization can incorporate any number of projects which are used to
assign resources and group specific people. For each project, manager
chooses a subset of organization users and resources to be used.

project users are users assigned to
given project.

Project resources are resources (translation memories, machine
translators, glossaries) assigned to this project. They are subset of
organization resources.
There are four available project rights:

Project management enables users
to access the project via projects
page and manage orders and project resources.

User management enables users to
access the project users page.
Authorized user can add/release organization users (TODO: Really?) and
grant/revoke organization management and
user management rights.

File management enables user to
access the project files subsection
of the Project section. Privileged user can add files to project storage
for project managers to validate User/manager can prepare project based on files from the client.

Document management enables user to access the Project documents subsection of the Project section.
User/manager can manage (add, delete, archive, translate, assign) project documents.
Order
orders (jobs) can be used for
fine-grained translation splitting. The number of orders per project is not
limited, but there is always at least one, the default, called
base order, which cannot be deleted.
Registration and login
Registration
Here you can sign up for an Tygeris account.
There are few mandatory fields marked by asterisk (*).
- first name - Your first name
- surname - Your last name
- e-mail - Your active e-mail, you will receive the verification e-mail to this address. Later, in your profile you will be able to set notifications to be sent here.
- password
- native language - Sets your primary translation language. This will be the first of your " known" languages and will be set as your application language (if supported)
And some optional fields. If you plan on working with or for somene theese might help your co-workers.
- ui.phone - your telephone number, in case you are not responding to online communication and your colleges (project managers) need to contact you

second language/third language - Your other "known" languages.
If you cooperate with others, your "known" languages will determine which translations are you eligible for.
You can add more languages in your "profile section."
Login
Login table consists of two input fields:
- e-mail - e-mail address you have provided in registration form (if you haven't changed it in profile settings)
- password - password
and an option to reset your password if you have lost it.
My profile
In your profile, you can update your personal data and membership in
organizations. Important options are:

user token can be used by
organization managers to add you to their organization. If you want to
get affiliated with an organization, you just need to send your
user token to manager of that organization. You can do so
with send button next to user token and filling out e-mail
address and optional "Note" for this manager. This manager will then
recieve an e-mail with your token, name and e-mail address provided in
your profile.

languages is a set of languages you
have mastered. Project managers can look up translators with needed
language skills.

organizations is a table listing
organizations you are affiliated in at the time, number of projects you
are included in that organization and gives you option to cancel the
cooperation.
Private projects
This your personal space for your projects and translations. Here, you can
upload your documents, translate and export them. The menu consists of:
Open
Here you can select an organization (orange) or
project (white) you want to work with. Organizations
are only clickable if you have permission to manage them.
Notifications
Notifications inform you about the latest events and developement of
projects you are associated with.
Project documents
Here, you can upload your documents, create translations and start working.
import
To upload documents into Tygeris, first choose document language. This
language will be used as first lnaguage in translations, second one you
will choose on translation creation. Upload zone can be triggered in two
ways:

Drag and drop -- select files you want to import in your system and then
just drag them above the Upload zone.

Click the upload zone -- this will enable you to browse your filesystem
and choose files you want to upload.
orders
Order card in upper right corner lists the existing project orders. The
active order is highlighted. There are two buttons on the card bottom:

create -- create
a new order in the current project
-
edit orders -- edit
existing orders of the current project
imported files
Here is a list of your imported documents. Supported actions are these:

translate: Choose a language for your document to
be translated to. Translation to chosen language will automaticly be
created in translation table.

download:
Download the original document.
-
archive: Move
this document and all its translations to project archive. The document
can be restored.

delete:
Permanently delete this document and all its translations. This action
cannot be undone.
translations
Translations table shows all non-archived translations of current
order. Here you can can:

download:
Download the translated (or partially translated) document(s).

delete: Delete
this translation. The original document remains untouched.
Archive
All archived documents of current project and order.
restore: Restore
archived file and all its translations.
Work in organization
Can also be refered to as 'others' or 'commercial' organizations are payed
accesories that brings project management to another level.
Where in your organization, you work alone, here you are able to:
- contract/manage Organization users
- create Organization projects and share them with Organization users
- distribute the work between Organization/Project users
- manage deadlines
- recieve files from your customers
- create project financial calculations
- overview project and translation progress
- stream project progress to your customers
- deliver finished translations to customers
projects
Organization projects can be created and managed in section.
Project table
Documents - redirect to document uplod, click and start uploading documents to the new project.
Users:
- show project users and manage their rights;
- add organization users to this project
Edit - change/add/revoke project specifications and resources in Project Edit Window
Remove remove project and all files and documents associated with it
tools
create project - create new project in actual organization.
New project will belong to actual organization and creating user will be granted all rights to this project.
Project overview
This part of a system is designed as project overview a filestorage for
project managers and customers.
To access this feature user must have projec Add Files permission
selected in Project users section.
home
In home section users customers may:
- view the project state
- track the number of created/accesed/finished translations
- track documents state
- see approximate cost of project in project calculator
Managers can also change calculator:
- currency
- translation unit type (word/page)
- unit price
- repetition rates
Customers may also download finished translations from here.
import
Here users (manager/customer) may import files to project filestorage.
Manager can then select some of those files for translation in project or edit them before translation.
By selecting import final option managers can also import finished files for customers download.
Project users
In this section project managers with manage users right may:
- add/remove users - select from organization users to add to actual project or remove user from actual project
- add/revoke rights - add or revoke "manage users, add documents, import file" user rights to actual project
Project documents
Managers with add Documents right can upload documents and create, distribute and manage translations.
We can devide the worklpace to three components:
- ui.Orders
- ui.import section
- ui.Documents_and_translations_table
orders
Order card in upper right corner lists the existing project orders. The

The list of project/order documents translations. Managers can:

Translate -
opens a new Available users window to select user and translation language.

Assign/Reasign -
Assign unassigned translation to project user, reasign to another project user or unasign chosing none as translations assigned project user.

Download -
Download original document

Archive -
Archive document and all its translations. Archived documents will be moved to archive from where they might be restored.
Translations cannot be archived and if selected together with documents they will be ignored.

Delete -
Delete document and all its translations. Deleted documents are removed from system and cannot be restored.
Translations can be deleted.
ui.avialable_projectUsers
List all project users, who have translated document language in their known languages.
To every poject user selected this way, there is option to translate to any of his known languages
Manager can also use various filters (desired translation language, user name or e-mail adress) to search in this list.

Here all the translations assigned to you in this project will appear.
- Project description - a short introduction to project.
- Project files - helper files, guidlines and files with other usefull information will be displayed in this section.
messages
Share your questions and knowledge with other translators working in this project.
All users (translators, managers) associated with this project can respond to your questions.

Table of project documents assigned to you by project managers.
To start editing, click the document state diagram in Edit column.
